Kristen Ranaldo, RDH, BSDH attended dental hygiene school right out of high school and graduated from Farmingdale State College in New York in 2015. She is going on a decade of clinical experience, most of which have been in periodontal practices. Kristen graduated top of her class earning numerous awards including the Golden Scaler for exceptions talents and skills in clinic. Currently, she is in her ninth year using dental endoscopy and is also IALD Millennium Periolase Hygiene certified.
After being introduced to dental endoscopy, she realized early on that she could not practice without it. With proper implementation, Kristen believes dental endoscopy could benefit all dental practices and is a revolutionary approach to treating the high prevalence of periodontal disease. She wants to empower and uplift hygienists to advocate for the instruments and technologies they need to provide the highest level of care to their patients. Kristen’s goal is to raise awareness on the importance of hygienists having a seat at the table when decisions are being made about oral health policies and practices.
Due to her consistent, remarkable clinical results, Kristen became a trainer, sales representative and endoscope expert for PerioView to teach other dental professionals the most minimally invasive and definitive way to treat all stages of periodontal disease. She has treated numerous patients, curing gingivitis and periodontal disease as well as diagnosing root fractures, subgingival caries, and more. After treatment, Kristen puts an emphasis on meticulous home care and consistent periodontal maintenance visits.
